A little prep goes a long way toward making your session amazing! Here are a few quick things I like to share ahead of time — the fine print made easy and everything you’ll want to know before we shoot.
A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date. This fee holds your spot and cannot be transferred or applied to another session.
If you need to change your date, a new contract and retainer will be required. All pricing and policies are subject to the most current rates at that time.
Only the final, edited images are delivered. RAW and unedited photos are never shared or sold. Additional edited images can be purchased for and additional fee.
If you’d like your session at a location that requires an access fee or photography permit (such as a park or private venue), please note that clients are responsible for covering any required fees for themselves, anyone included in the session, and the photographer.
For in-state sessions, the first 60 miles (round trip) are included. After that, travel is billed at $0.70 per mile.
For out-of-state or international sessions (such as elopements or destination weddings), clients are responsible for lodging, travel costs, and a $100 daily slush fund for meals and expenses. All travel fees will be added to your invoice.
A little preparation makes all the difference! Before your session, please have your outfit(s) picked out and ready, and make sure everything is clean and wrinkle-free — in extreme cases, editing out wrinkles can delay your gallery delivery time.
Bring a hair roller or brush for quick touch-ups before we start shooting.
For family sessions, I recommend neutral tones that photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your connection — think soft beiges, creams, taupes, or muted earthy colors. Try to avoid distracting patterns, large logos, or bold prints.
Before we begin, please remove sunglasses, hats, and any chipped nail polish so your photos look clean and polished.
Mini sessions are 20 minutes and include fewer images than a full session.
They’re booked on a first-come, first-served basis, and time slots cannot be changed once booked (unless another is available and approved).
Studio C retains copyright ownership of all images.
If you opt in, your photos may be shared on social media or marketing materials. Once approved, these posts cannot be removed.
If an exception is made for removal, a $100 administrative fee applies.
You may share your photos online and print them for personal use, but please do not alter, crop, or re-edit them.
Product orders must be paid in full before design begins.
Shipping starts at $10 and varies by order size.
Albums are designed by Chelsea, and image selections are due within 1 week of gallery delivery.
Products not picked up within 6 months are forfeited with no refund.
Manufacturer defects must be reported within 7 days.
Editing typically takes 2–4 weeks (4–6 weeks during sales or busy seasons, and 4–8 weeks for weddings).
Sessions are edited in the order they’re shot — please book at least 4 weeks before any special event.
Extra editing requests are subject to a $100 service fee, and unedited/RAW files are never released.
Reschedule requests must be made in writing. Sessions can be rescheduled, but a new retainer is required to hold your new time slot.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your session may be cancelled at my discretion without a refund.
You’ll receive an online gallery to view and download your images.
Your gallery link is active for 30 days — please download and back up your photos right away. Expired galleries can be reopened (with photographer approval) for a $100 reactivation fee.
Spray tans (especially for Boudoir) can be corrected in editing, but they significantly slow down the editing process, which will result in delayed gallery delivery times. If your skin tone appears overly orange, an additional $100 retouching fee may apply.
In situations where spray tan residue stains any sheets, furniture, or wardrobe, a cleaning fee will be charged and must be paid before any images are delivered.
